Our Out of Hours service was for many year provided by Primecare (formerly Healthcall) for which some of our General Practitioners undertook sessions.
With the advent of the new GMS contracts, we agreed to "opt out" of an out of hours commitment utilising the service managed by the Portsmouth City Training Primary Care Trust, in collaboration with two other local Primary Care Trusts (PCTs), East Hampshire and Fareham & Gosport*. Our GPs continue to support this service by undertaking sessions, as do many other local GPs, ensuring the service remains at a high standard.
Office and call centre addresss:

When you make use of this service and need to meet with a clinician, they will confirm their location which is now co-located in Queen Alexandra Hospital.
* These two PCTs amalgamated into part of the new Hampshire PCT on 1st October 2006.
