About the Baffins Surgery

Baffins General Practice Surgery moved to its new premises within the St. Cuthbert's Church building in 2006. We are a medium sized practice with an normal complement of seven doctors plus support staff.

The surgery staff will always endeavour to be polite and helpful. Please understand that there are times when they area working under pressure. They will do their best to try to help you with any queries or problems you may have.

A GP will be available to give telephone advice every working day by arrangement with the reception staff. This is usually after the morning surgery.

You are treated as an individual and will be given courtesy and respect at all times, irrespective of either your ethnic origin, religious beliefs or the nature of your health problem.

If you have difficulties with English, we can arrange an interpreter for you. Please remember that we will have to arrange this interpreter and we cannot guarantee their gender. Consequently your appointment will take longer to arrange, and the interpreter may not be available for your preferred time.

Practice records are at all times kept secure and confidential. You have a right to see your health records from 1st November 1991, subject to any limitations in the law.

There may be times when your doctor has another general practitioner or medical student with them. You have the right to request that they are not present during your consultation.
